Jeff Liao

For over a decade, Jeff Liao has documented the social landscape of New York City.  In order to convey the complex tapestry of the city, Liao shoots large formats over extended periods of time.  He then chooses from thousands of images and fuses frames into panoramic images.  Liao’s photography isn’t about catching a singular decisive moment but moments across time.  This image was captured from the rooftop of The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore and depicts a rarely seen view of the Manhattan skyline from the Bronx.
